Seedborne Soldiers is an auto battler roguelike with 3D combat in a low-poly 90s style.
Draft fighters with matching Traits to power up your team, then outfit them with equipment, trinkets, and consumables to complete your build. Navigate complex maps as you carve a path toward each boss.

Units

There are a total of 75 draftable units. They are categorized into 5 tiers which correspond to their costs. Each unit has a unique Spell, and many have an additional unique Effect. When the player has 3 copies of the same unit, they combine and level up.
A being who protects the pristine snowfields of the north. Standing against her barrage of sword strikes and magic attacks is like facing an avalanche.
Blossom of Snow - Ice bursts forth, impaling enemies and shielding Astrid.
Enchanted Iceweaving - Astrid teleports across frozen tiles.
A conqueror whose influence rippled across distance and time. He was also a prolific writer, producing a series of ponderous volumes on war.
Battle Speech - Deliver a rousing speech which increases Attack Spd.
Poet Warlord - Initiative - Cast this unit's spell.
An ancient jar used to store the captured souls of its creator's enemies. Eventually, the souls stained the insides of the jar, which became its digestive tract as it gained sentience.
Spill Over - Heal and empower allies on Hallowed tiles.
Filled with Souls - Initiatives of adjacent allies trigger an additional time.

Enemies

Seedborne Soldiers features 30+ unique enemies and minibosses. An enemy is always stronger than a player unit of the same level, so players must utilize Trait and equipment synergies to win.
A Slushmage cat has taken refuge inside this suit of armor. It manipulates the heavy frame with magic and tends to play with its prey before finishing it off.
Fortify - Take up a defensive stance and gain a shield which grants Defense and Magic Def until it breaks.
This gentle soul became trapped on Dreamworld, but found new life among the foreign fauna. It heals all monsters, and in return, it is not eaten by them.
Nectar Bubble - Launch a healing bubble which bounces between allies.
Originally a fossilized barbarian, it was reanimated in a new form millions of years after it perished. Its deadly stone arrows can pierce non-magical surfaces.
Needle Rhythm - Deal bonus damage for one attack and gain a stacking Attack Spd buff.

Traits

There are 22 Traits in Seedborne Soldiers. Each unit has two or more Traits. When you add units who share Traits to your team, your team gets stronger. Match up as many Traits as possible while fielding the strongest units for bread-and-butter auto battler fun.
Ascetics block incoming damage and transcend through abstention.
Sages cast their spells twice.
Every 3rd Slayer attack damages multiple foes and grants stacking defenses.

To escape from Dreamworld, you must traverse three maps and defeat three bosses. Each map features a unique combat arena and overview.

Items

Items abound in Seedborne Soldiers. Some items offer consistent-but-small benefits, while other harder-to-use items enable run-defining strategies.

Equipment

Each unit can hold up to 3 Equipment. Lesser Equipment acquired early in the run can be upgraded later. Choosing the right equipment for your soldiers is key to success!

Trinkets

Trinkets provide powerful bonuses to your team. Some even provide out-of-combat effects. Trinkets help each run feel different. Replay value—yes!
Slushbrewed Coffee - Greater Trinket Your units' MP costs are reduced by 10. (Spells can't cost less than 1 MP.)

Consumables

Seedborne Soldiers features out-of-battle consumables, plus in-combat consumables called Bombs.
